In 2016, Marko Dimitrijevic published his first book, Frontier Investor: How to Prosper in the Next Emerging Markets.
In the book, Marko offers a revised definition of frontier markets, primarily as the “nine smaller members of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index (Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, UAE)…” He contends that many frontier markets are quite rich, but their small size, trading restrictions, or foreign ownership negate their inclusion in the MSCI indices.
Michael Spence, Nobel Prize Winner in Economics, reviewed the book as “brilliant” and “a tour de force” in the investment industry.
Tony Robbins, a financial guru and author, called Frontier Investor, “A brilliant and entertaining book that teaches the why, how, and where to invest in the new emerging markets. Marko Dimitrijevic is the grand master of frontier markets investing.”
